COURSE OVERVIEW
The course tutor John Wood runs a small design and build company, alongside teaching with the SGD find out more about John here
The great news about Morpholio Trace is that it is highly intuitive and easy to master. The interface is a digital pencil on a digital screen. Once one’s got the hang of it, this ultimately feels no different from drawing on any conventional notebook or drawing board. Trace is therefore ideal software for those possibly less familiar with CAD and computer technology in general. For contractors and designers alike, its versatility is second to none. Trace will import topographic surveys to scale, allowing for detailed analysis and all aspects of technical construction drawing. One can also sketch freehand and produce pencil watercolour and pen renders just as one can on any analog drawing board or notepad.
Course outcomes by the end of this one day training:
Understanding the basic functionality of Morpholio Trace, so as to be able to use it as a design tool going forward
Understanding how to work with topographic surveys imported from architects and surveyors drawings
Producing scale plans from satellite imagery within Morpholio
Creating a technical stencils library, personal to one’s own needs
Working from initial sketch to presentation master plan within Morpholio
