COURSE OVERVIEW

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course, students will:

  •  Have an awareness of water feature products that are available

  • Know how to plan out water feature products

  • Understand how to work out calculations for pumps and filters

  • Have had full hands on experience in how to install of a range of products

  • Will know how to install liners, filter systems, fountain pumps, waterfall blades, liner transitions.

  • Understand the design considerations

  • Have an awareness of the types of pumps and use of pump graphs

  • Practical experience with self-contained reservoirs with small water feature. (fountain basins)

  • Practical experience with Waterfall blades & wall reservoirs

  • Practical experience with Spillway box system

  • Practical experience with Maxima pond block system & pump vaults

  • Practical experience with Pond liner & matting

  • Practical experience with Liner transitions

  • Practical experience Standalone filter – filtral

  • Pressurised filter – filtoclear

  • Practical experience with Flow through filters

LEARNING FORMAT

Classroom plus practical workshop sessions, ongoing engagement after the 1 day course.

  GOOD TO KNOW

Free membership access (worth £50) to The Landscape Library for 6 months, for all course participants once they have attended a TASK Industry course (includes access to training resources, articles, features, templates, publications, advice notes, cross section drawings and mentorship) .   • Lunch is not included, we recommend you bring your own packed lunch for each day

  • One month before the date of the course, you will receive a course confirmation email with further information and course joining instructions which includes what to bring with you.

  • There is currently no accommodation available at Lower End Farm for TASK students. There are plenty of local accommodation possibilities, please contact us for a range of options.
