COURSE OVERVIEW
Join Rolawn, the UK’s leading turf provider, for an engaging and interactive 1-day course. This succinct yet comprehensive session offers a hands-on, practical, and informative introduction to the nuances of sourcing, purchasing, and laying turf.
Throughout the day, participants will experience a balanced blend of outdoor practical sessions and classroom-based theory. Outdoor activities will cover turf removal, ground preparation, laying techniques, cutting, and finishing. Meanwhile, classroom discussions will explore the advantages of natural turf, turf varieties, choosing the right turf, advising clients effectively, managing customer relationships, and best practices for immediate and ongoing aftercare.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the conclusion of the course, attendees will have:
Removed an existing turfed area, prepared the ground, and successfully laid new turf.
Gained insights into best practices for laying a lawn, learning the essential 'dos and don'ts.'
Recognised the significance of topsoil in ensuring successful turf installations.
Engaged in discussions and received guidance on assessing and overcoming challenges in lawn projects.
Had opportunity to discuss and obtain advice on how to assess and overcome the challenges of lawn projects.

LEARNING FORMAT
This course promises an interactive and practical approach, ensuring participants leave with the expertise and confidence needed to tackle turf projects efficiently and offer superior guidance to clients.
Classroom plus practical workshop sessions., ongoing engagement after the 1 day course.
GOOD TO KNOW
Free membership access (worth £50) to The Landscape Library for 6 months, for all course participants once they have attended a TASK Industry course (includes access to training resources, articles, features, templates, publications, advice notes, cross section drawings and mentorship) . Email alangsargent@gmail.com once you have attended the course to access your membership.
Lunch is not included, we recommend you bring your own packed lunch for each day

There is currently no accommodation available at Lower End Farm for TASK students. There are plenty of local accommodation possibilities, please contact us for a range of options.
Participants are required to have a minimum level 2 in English and Maths.
