COURSE OVERVIEW

Are you looking to improve your understanding of CDM (Construction, Design and Management) Regulations and how it relates to garden design and landscape construction projects?

This is an essential course for both garden designers and landscape contractors which aims to identify the new and existing requirements and the guidance you need to ensure you comply.

The new CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations came into force on April 6th 2015. There are several changes that will affect the duties of designers and contractors. This includes the removal of the role of CDM co-ordinator and the introduction of the new role of Principal Designer. The new regulations extend the prescribed duties into more work with domestic clients.

Principal Designers will be required to co-ordinate H&S aspects of the design in the preconstruction phase and liaise with the Principal Contractor to help in the planning, monitoring and co-ordination of the construction phase.
