‘The Garden Designer, The Landscaper,
The Supplier, The Training’
Elevating the landscaping and garden design industry to excellence. Collaboration is KEY to successful outcomes.
‘The Garden Designer, The Landscaper, The Supplier, The Training’ – landscape services to support magnificent schemes and installations
Who is this event for? Landscapers, Garden Designers, Landscape Architects, Architects and Apprentices.
Our industry is full of silos! A perfect garden design can be ruined by poor landscaping and construction detailing, installation can be delayed by poor materials delivery or sub-standard quality. Years of experience have taught us that communication, collaboration and planning and well-trained staff on site is essential to the delivery of exceptional gardens and spaces.
Join Task Academy MD Rupert Keys, Ruth Gwynn of Ruth Gwynn Associates and Richard Bickler of Arbour Landscape Solutions for an evening of presentations, case studies and discussion. We will explore how collaboration and professional relationships can enhance delivery and outcomes.
The event cost per person to include a BBQ supper is £15.00 per person (booking details at the bottom below)

Ruth Gwynn, is a multi award winning, professionally trained Landscape Architect, Garden Designer and Horticulturist who has been a passionate gardener since her childhood. Inspired by her dad who built a greenhouse out of reclaimed wood, she went on to trump him with her tomato growing when she was just 8 years old!
From school, Ruth went on to study an Art & Design Foundation Course at College which led her into working in clothing and graphic design before following her heart and training at Pershore College to become a Landscape Architect. Here she studied a 3 year HND in Landscape Management & Horticulture and had the exciting opportunity of working on her first show garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in 1992 ‘ Hanging Gardens of Babylon’
Fresh out of college, Ruth embarked on her first role as a Landscape Assistant whilst studying part-time for a Dip LA in Landscape Architecture. Ruth gained valuable experience in working on town elements and road schemes, specialising in VLIA and planting schemes.
In 1999, Ruth started her freelance business Ruth Gwynn Associates, working within garden design and landscape architecture for architects’ practices and private clients. This varied scope of work and experience led Ruth to become a consultant Landscape Architect for PJA (Transport, Planning, Engineering and Placemaking Consultancy)
During Ruth’s expansive 24 year career in garden design she has designed and worked on an impressive portfolio of RHS and BBC Gardeners’ World show gardens, winning many Platinum, Gold and Best in Show.
More recently in 2022, Ruth co-designed Frances Tophill’s Platinum Award-winning and ‘Best In Show’ Show Garden at BBC Gardeners’ World Live and in 2023 she is working with leading menopause expert, Dr Louise Newson to create the Newson Health Menopause Show Garden. The walk-through Show Garden has been designed to evoke feelings of community, creating a safe, tranquil and comfortable space for women to reflect on their health and to discover the nutritional and physical power of plants for mental health and wellbeing.
When Ruth isn’t designing residential garden design projects for private clients, or working on show garden collaborations, she is running Meadow Cut Flowers, an environmentally friendly sustainable British Cut Flower business with her business partner and friend Shirley Jones. Meadow Cut Flowers was born in 2020 (pre pandemic) out of a joint love for plants, flowers and growing and they now supply local florists and the general public as well as creating bespoke flowers for events and weddings and running seasonal workshops.
